Several blogs and websites pointed out that My Tribe is very much in the same vein as Virtual Villagers. Even a simple version of the highly popular game, this is not unreasonable criticism but is also implies that My Tribe does not stand on its own two feet as an individual game, which it does.

Many people also compare the graphics to those of Virtual Villagers, with several indicating that they prefer the graphics found with My Tribe. There are several islands to choose from until you get used to the relative differences between the islands it is not important which one you select.

There are an endless number of islands to select from and the game is easy to follow and to get locked by, it can be played for short or long periods of time with pleasing results either way.

If you move off and decide to try live on a different island, life on your previous island continues without you. Therefore, you can go back after a period of time and see how the other islands are managing without you.

This is an interesting twist that can see your tribe progress bar you assist a different island's inhabitants. Of course there is the possibility that all is not well with the island once you return and you may need to assist the islanders to build up their lifestyle once again.

You have to be very much aware of the age and health of your islanders sick old natives cannot give you healthy young children all work to their full capabilities to keep the population in a healthy state.

You are the leader of the local inhabitants; you move around the island as a tribe searching for food on land or from the sea, you will also need to gather wood to keep the fire going.

You need somewhere to live so when you have gathered up the resources you will then be able to supply a roof over the heads of yourself and your native villagers. As you move around you will be fortunate enough to come across a piece of shipwreck cargo such as a crate, which contain either good or bad items to hinder or help your life on the island.

You will also come across both Moondust and Stardust that has fallen to Earth on your island and can be used for your tribe's benefit in various ways. Each individual island has three mysteries for you to figure out, once the solved each mystery gives you a benefit as well as a trophy.

There is a definite attachment to your islanders and I have no doubt you will find yourself going back again and again to see how each group is managing and stepping in to a system where needed. All alarm this is a well rounded game that manages to keep your interest for many hours.
